For me it is soccer, and through that came a rite of passage that will be with me forever. I was born and raised in Haymarket, Virginia. Haymarket is a small town about 40 miles west of Washington, DC. If you were to drive 30 minutes one way you would be in the country. If you drive 30 minutes the other way you would be in the city. Haymarket is located in the middle between the county and city. My point here is that I have always been in the middle. I am the middle child, average height, and I never thought of myself as anything special.
